Hi! I’m Stephanie, the creator of Coastal Current NJ.

I moved to New Jersey in 2017, met and married a Jersey guy from Toms River, and fell in love with the Shore. Before I moved here, I spent several years working at a large chamber of commerce on the west coast, promoting local businesses and events.

Living at the Shore, my husband and I were constantly looking for things to do, but were never able to find an extensive source to tell us what was happening around our home.

We found ourselves missing great events—not because they weren’t happening, but because they were scattered across dozens of websites, social media pages, and last-minute posts. We’d hear about something fun the day after it happened, or stumble across an event just hours before it started. There was no single, reliable place to see what was going on. The Shore is so full of energy year-round. Local businesses and organizations are constantly creating experiences, but too often, they don’t get the visibility they deserve.

Coastal Current NJ was created to change that. Our goal is to bring everything together in one place—making it easier for residents and visitors alike to discover what’s happening, support local businesses, and make the most of life along the Shore. No payment or membership required! Whether you’re planning your weekend or just looking for something to do tonight, we’re here to help you stay in the current.
